And Now A Break for All-Stars…

Cavaliers head into the break with a 29-23 record, ranking 4th in the Eastern Conference behind Boston, Detroit, and Orlando, and with 2 of their very own (Lebron James and Daniel Gibson) selected to participate in a few of the 2008 All-Star Activities.

Included in these activities is the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge, in which Gibson will participate, tonight February 15th at 9pm ET on TNT.

UPDATE: Daniel Gibson took home the MVP award with 33 pts, shooting 11 of 20 from beyond the arc.

Gibson will also compete in the Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout on Saturday, February 16th at 8pm ET on TNT.

UPDATE: Jason Kapono defended his title and took the award with 25 points.  Gibson entered the final round with Kapono and finished 2nd with 17 points, and Dirk Nowitzki finished 3rd with 14 pts.

UPDATE:  Superman made a visit to New Orleans to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest, and took home the honors…Absolutely amazing!!!

As for Lebron James, he will start in his 4th straight All-Star game at the 57th Annual All-Star Game on Sunday, February 17th.

    The one stunt he does, the mid-air, bounce-off-the-backboard, left-hand-right-hand dunk, that’s sick.

  2. Your preview was right, because Dwight Howard was insane last night. The superman dunk stole it for me (Though I hear a lot of people claim it wasn’t really a dunk).

    Whatever the case…the superman uniform, the anticipation, the take off from inside the free-throw line, and the above-the-rim throw-in was as good as it gets. I was staring in pure awe when the replay rolled back in slow mo.
